Hi...

Thanks for stopping by.  I`ve just realised I haven't properly introduced myself , so I thought I must rectify that!

That's me above, but I will be honest, after rolling around on the floor taking photos of animals,  I very rarely look that well turned out.

And this mud loving pooch is one of my gorgeous dogs.  She is the main inspiration behind my photography business.  I took this picture of her when I was first starting out,  it won a couple of awards and started my love affair with photography.

My Photography Passion..

Comes from the two main things I have spent doing most of my life, working with animals and working for myself.

For well over 20 years I worked in the equine industry, in many  disciplines, dressage, show jumping, eventing, showing, polo, race horses and studs.  Dressage was the discipline that truly captured my heart.  Watching a horse and rider in harmony together perfecting such balance is beautiful to watch, so I spent my career training and coaching dressage.

Dogs..

What`s not to love about dogs.  Always by your side and a true best friend.  I love working breeds mainly, I love their intelligence and absolute focus to the job.  I find Fine Art photography really captures their personalities well and suits the breed.  When photographing dogs, I like minimal distractions in the background where they are showcased as the main subject.

I will admit they are not the easiest subject to work with,  their quick reactions, head turns and movements do require lots of patience, but when you get that look,  WOW it can be a heart stopper.

Horses..

They have made me who I am.  When I left school at 16 they taught me about hard work and graft.  They instilled in me a strong work ethic which helped me to achieve what I have today, and for that and more I will be forever grateful.

I love the way they move and hold themselves, powerful but also graceful.  They are stunning animals which make great artwork and  I adore working on creative projects capturing their cadence and presence.

Photography Qualification..

I am always up for challenging myself and learning as much as I can.  Last year I gave myself the task of working towards attaining The Societies of Photographers Licentiate Qualification in portrait photography.  I choose Equine Portraits for my submission, and by April 2023 I had passed and gained the qualification.

To be awarded the qualification you have to be able to show a consistent level of work in your images by producing 20 images up to the standard. The images are assessed by 4 judges on points such as, impact, creativity and style, composition, lighting, colour balance, technique, and storytelling.

I feel really honoured to be able to say I am a qualified Professional LSWPP Photographer with such a respected Photography Society.

People and Brands..

I`ve been a business owner for a huge part of my life.  I really enjoy meeting and working with other business owners.

I understand the struggle of having to put yourself out there and show up as the face of the business.  This is the why I started promoting brand photography.  I have been in the same position and it gives me the perfect personal experience to be able to help others.

I take away the stress of content creation by providing my clients with a huge variety of high quality images.  Ready to use, on brand images which cover all the different areas of your business.

That`s me..

I hope that little intro gave you a better insight into what got me started in photography, what I love to photograph and why.
